Mom says I am the Reserve Queen. That must be really special, don't you think!?
Dog show trip was long and hard. I had to sit on Mom's lap then Papa's lap on the trip down. We went right to the show grounds...which was grass....but Papa had a talk with me and asked – very nicely – if I would just once walk on the grass like I should. Since he is so cute, I did....just once! That was Saturday when I got my Reserve.
Now you have to be careful how you ask for things. He only asked me to walk on the grass once....Sunday was not included. I just don't like the way it feels on my feet...so I was very slow and not happy on Sunday...therefore, I was dumped and Mom said I deserved to be dumped!! Boy she sure doesn't mince words!
Next show is on dirt....she says it is good dirt and I should like it. I'm thinking 'dirt'? My pretty little feet on dirt! This will be interesting. Papa isn't coming this time – Sheryl – Mom's friend is driving with us. Hope she understands the seating arrangements. Since Papa isn't coming...being good is optional, right!?
Mom asked Sheryl to show me on Sunday. Oh what fun that is going to be...watch out Sheryl – I may look cute but I can be a little stinker!
Simon and Josie had a pretty good time. They are still young and clueless! They think everything is fun. Kim came to visit Simon – he really remembered her. Gave her kisses and stayed with her for a long time. She let him roll in the grass and get all dirty...he is such a boy. Speaking of being a boy...he lifted his leg so high to reach the top of a bush...he fell over! LOL Where is a camera when you really need one!
Dog shows knock me out. All that packing and unpacking. Finding a spot out of the sun. Waiting around, laying on the table getting brushed - then after all that they expect you to walk around the ring...sometimes more than once! Whew!
Finally we are going home. Mom put me in the crate while her and Papa packed up the car. Next thing I knew we were home! She said I was fast asleep so she just left me in my crate. Better not make that a habit!
Does this woman ever take a day off...First day back from the show and Mom gave us baths – again! It's not bad enough that we get baths but Mom asks Papa to time us 5 minutes after she puts some stuff on my hair. So I have to stand there shaking! She was ready after one minute to rinse it out...me too but Papa said – No – do it right! Mom has NO patience! Obviously, neither do I.
Rumor has it we get another bath on Friday....she must be a clean freak or something! Isn't that some kind of disorder that only has letters – like OCD or ADD! Something like that...I think it is KDC (Keep Dogs Clean) disorder. Guess I can't complain too much... Simon had to wear a coat while he was drying. It was a test to see if his hair would lay down flat...it did! He sure did look silly and yes - I did laugh at him. He is one big pain in my butt!!
No dogs on the beach? That surely doesn't mean me!

You really didn't think I was going to wait standing on the grass did you?

I am coming! Don't rush me!

You call me a baby if you want but there are bees out here!

I am bushed!

Papa learned this step from Bridget...take a bow!

No! I don't want to go for a swim.

Ok so she is showing off...I could be good like her if I wanted!

So this is what goes on at home while I'm busting my a**!

( 3 / 37 )We, that being me, Clarice, Simon, Josie, Mom and Papa are heading to a dog show this weekend. This is the one where I give Papa my lesson on how to walk on grass! I can't wait!
Just a little fact: Do you know how Mom says “Papa”? It sounds like “Popper” ... and you guys think I am funny!
Speaking of lessons...Mom got one! You should always read the instructions first before you use a new toothbrush. This toothbrush spins around when you push a button in your mouth. The problem was...how do you turn it off?
Mom tried a little button...but it didn't seem to work. Then she thought maybe it will go off when it thinks it brushed her teeth long enough. She was waiting a long time for that to happen. She was afraid to take it out of her mouth because the toothpaste would go all over the place. I am watching her from the floor....had to back up a little when I thought she was going to take it out of her mouth. She was in a bit of a dilemma! Ever try looking for a package in the garbage while holding a toothbrush in your foaming mouth – that is still rotating?
That's my Mom....BTW, there is a little button that you have to press hard on the toothbrush...it turns right off...Mom's teeth sure are clean today!
Life would sure be boring around here if not for the little things that Mom gets herself into and that I am more than happy to share with you!
So this is my last entry for a few days. We are leaving very, very, very early in the morning...before the sun even comes up! Mom is loading up on coffee so she can drive.
Watch out I-15, here we come!
This is my life. My name is Gigi.

( 3.1 / 37 )Boy is Mom angry at Josie and Simon. They chewed on Andrea's ears! By the time Mom caught them...her ears were a lot shorter! What really gets Mom is that Andrea just stays there and lets them chew on her. Since she is going to a show in two weeks, Mom is not a happy camper.
She was saying “Hey, Hey” now she is saying, “No chewing ears”. Simon just looks at her like – like 'really'! Josie will just sit there with Andrea's ear in her mouth...”Do you mean me?” Andrea just looks pathetic...”I can't stop them”.
Mom laughs – every time she hears the pups rough housing...she asks them, “Now what are you doing?” They usually stop and just look at her with innocent eyes, “Nothing”. We all know better than that! There is not an innocent bone in Simon's whole body!
I slept in late with Papa. It was our cuddle time. Boy did I miss that! Next time he goes to Cedar...I am going with him. I don't think so Gigi....Yes, I am!
Anyway, we can talk about that later....The morning was looking like a nice peaceful start to the day.
Then it happen!!
Let me paint you this picture:
Mom decided to color her hair. She is stinky for a long time plus she can't really do much of anything. She wears what she calls 'ratty old pj's' so if she gets any of the smelly stuff on her clothes it is OK. She looks pretty awful...well you do!
So Mom is sitting in her office...reading, being stinky. looking like a homeless person.
Papa was in his office...with me. He is in his pj's too. We (Papa and me) just got up...I had eaten breakfast...I will eat anything for my boy...and now I was hoping that maybe after he checked his emails we could head back to bed. We have pretty much be connected at hip since he got home.
Mom heard a little beep.
“Did you hear that Papa? Was that you?”
“Yep, heard it. Not me”
Two more beeps then all h*ll broke loose – yes I did say a bad word....but sometimes you just have to express yourself with great force! That was not the only bad word heard that morning – that's for darn sure!
The fire alarms in the house were going off....in all the rooms. My ears were shattering...Papa came running out of his office...Mom was going from room to room looking for the source of the fire. I was scare and whining...the cats took off for unknown parts. Didn't see them for hours!
Mom was thinking...I know this because I asked her...that she could NOT go outside – fire or no fire – with hair dye in her hair! Papa called the Alarm company – they had no clue.
Simon and Josie were all excited running around the house following Mom and Papa...at least they weren't barking. I think they thought it was a game. Charlie put himself in a crate. Guess he felt safe there. Smart boy. Miranda and Andrea stayed near him. If he would have moved over a little - I think they would have gotten int he crate with him. Not sure who was protecting who. I was the only really smart one...I got Mom to pick me up. I figured, she goes – I go!
The only place you could hear yourself think was outside or in the garage. They just kept blaring and blaring...they are suppose to wake you up. They really did a great job!
Could this be connected to what happen earlier this morning...Mom never got her coffee – well at least until Papa and I finally got up. She was boiling water and making our breakfast. When she poured the hot water into her cup...it cracked...the coffee went onto the stove, all over the counter, onto the floor and under all our food dishes … somehow it broke the stove! You could get gas to come out...but no flame. Now even I know that is not a good thing. Surprisingly, Mom was pretty calm about the whole thing...no really! I don't think she was awake enough yet to go crazy!
So far this morning we have one broken stove, a shatter coffee cup and alarms driving us all crazy! You know this house doesn't need any help in that department! At least the events were spaced well enough apart.
Mom kept asking Papa want it was....it is really scary when he doesn't have a clue!
Finally Papa pushed a button on one of the alarms...it got all quiet. Yea well, don't even think about putting me down yet.
Mom was happy because she still had 20 minutes left with her hair color. She is not sure what happens if you take it out too early! She certainly was not going to the dog show this weekend with roots. You have to have your priorities and no roots is one of them. Not really sure what she would have done if there really was a fire...but I am pretty sure I would have went with Papa!
No we still don't know what happen with the alarms. Papa said it was fumes from Mom's hair...she didn't think that was funny!
Gigi: Hey Mom – Simon has the bathroom mat in the hallway again!
Simon: You know Gigi, when I grow up....I'm going get you good!
This is my life. My name is Gigi.

( 3.1 / 59 )I have a great Mom!! (yes and you should remember that little girl!)
She surprised me yesterday....with PAPA! She told me I needed my hair combed. She was being nice to me all day. (I am always nice to you0. She even surprised me with my new Christmas dress...it is a Santa Claus red. We are going to add some fancy stuff under the skirt to make it more poofy!
I was too young to remember last Christmas...but Mom assures me I do not have to attack Santa Claus...he is one of the good guys!
Late in the afternoon she brushed me up and sprayed me with the nice smelling stuff she uses only for dog shows plus put a pretty blue bow in my hair. I thought maybe she was taking me to the vet.
We were just sitting around when I heard the door open...and there he was...my boy! My heart was doing flip flops! I was so surprised.
Mom says pictures speak louder than words – so she taped my Papa's homecoming.
Mom said after Papa read my morning blog – he felt so bad – he decided to finish up his stuff in Cedar so he could come home. He loves me!
I am going to make him carry me around forever!
This is my life. My name is Gigi. I am in ecstasy!

( 3 / 60 )I want a pink bow in my hair...or do you think purple would look better. You need to comb me out so I look good...how about some of that nice smelly stuff in my hair too.
I really could use a new dress...Papa is going to be so happy to see me. I must look my best! I am so excited. Don't forget to brush me teeth. I need good breathe for all the kisses he is going to get.
What time is Papa coming?
Yes, my Papa is coming home today. It has been years! Wait til I show him all the things Simon has done while he was gone!
I certainly don't consider it tattling! What do you mean then it is just not nice? Papa told me I was in charge! If he had left me the camera I could have taken lots of pictures as evidence.
Shouldn't you be online looking for my Christmas dress?
If you want my opinion, I think you let Simon get away with too much because he is cute. You know he is still eating the cardboard box?! And yes, he is the only one that has been getting into trouble. The rest of us are way too smart to get caught – except Josie maybe.
Hey Aunt Sally called last night. I decided to call her Aunt Sally because she is so nice. She understands me. If I ever need a place to run away too, I know I can count on her! It is her birthday! I asked Mom want she sent her...she said a card. That's it? It's the big birthday Mom. You need to send her something else. She is my aunt for Pete’s sake! Who is Pete?
Anyway, she talked with Mom for a long time. I know they were talking about me because they were laughing. I have that affect on people. Mom says it would be really interesting to see if another Havanese would be like me. Exactly what do you mean “like me”? You must realize by now that when they made me they destroyed the pattern. I am special – even I know that. Clay in the Masters hands! I was designed especially to come to love Papa and drive you bananas! How am I doing?
Mom was showing her - that being Aunt Sally - pictures of one week old pups. If she wants to buy one that is fine with me. Aunt Sally would really enjoy having someone like me around! I would even be willing to come visit and give the new pup some lessons!
Mom is not allowed to get another Havanese. No, I am not afraid of the competition. No one could ever hold a candle to me and NO I am not worried that a new pup may love you more than I do. I am concerned that a pup may try to take my Papa away from me. Things could get ugly!
Speaking of Papa, Gigi – I have something to tell you...now don't get upset....but...
What do you mean Papa isn't coming home today? You said! Not for another day!? One more day. Do you know how long a day is in dogie time? You think you're sorry...I am devastated. My hopes are dashed. I can't breathe...I think I am having an anxiety attack...YES – I do KNOW what they are...I'm a woman now! Oh just leave me alone. I am going back to bed. No, I am not eating!!
I am NOT being a drama queen. You do not miss him as much as me.
Look, if you really want me to feel better...you could go find me a cute dress today! Maybe a new hair bow to match.
Papa I need you. Please come home!
This is my life. My name is Gigi. I am miserable!
