Getting the video is not going to be easy either....I put Mom on the case but every time she tries to catch the little bugger in the act...he stops, looks all innocent and just sits by me. Mom is relentless! She will catch him in the act!
Papa had to take me up to his office so I could get away for a while. Phew! Thanks Papa!
Honey is planted and so is Bear. I told you about Bear? Mom said that Honey was lonely without another tree like her around...so the other day she and Papa went back to the Big Tree Nursery and bought another Honey Locust! This is where Mom starts to lose it a bit...since one tree's name is Honey...the other tree is called Bear...so her trees are Honey and Bear...she calls them her Honey Bear trees...OH PLEASE! Hello Mom, you in there? Your “Honey Bear Trees”? You need a trip to the big city. Too much country life!
Simon got in big – and I mean BIG – trouble today! Mom said it was nice out so while her and Papa were planting the second of the Honey Bear trees, she let us stay out on the back porch. Really there isn't much trouble you can get into unless you climb up on the grooming table and get the new - full - bottle of oil. Then of course you still aren't really in much trouble unless you start to chew on it...the real trouble starts when you break through the cap and spill this expensive stuff all over the cushy – that I like to lay on outside and it doesn't help that someone walked in it to it get all over the deck! And who sat in it?. Wasn't me! Whoever it was has a big enough butt to leave a butt print all over the place. Thank goodness, I have a small cute butt!
When Mom came to check on us...she went ballistic!! Simon was pretty pleased with himself until she came unglued. He had a time out in his crate!
You ever try to clean oil off the deck. Do you know how slipping oil on decking is? Mom knows...she almost broke her neck. And then who would feed us!!
The cushion is history...the deck had to be washed with soap. The rest of us were pretty smart...we went inside – we were very quiet! When Mom is having a melt down...being quiet and staying out of the way is very smart! I think I know whose butt print it was.... Charlie ended up in the bath!

( 2.9 / 127 )OH YES! I'M HOME!! Gigi told me last night I could write - just a little...since I was gone so long! It was days and days and days! I thought I would never get back here.
I can't tell you just how excited I am to be back with my Famiglia! That's Italian for family - in case you were wondering!
I missed Simon but oh that Gigi! Boy she is changing! She smells so good and she actually plays with me now. Could it be she actually missed me? Simon tried to tell me she was growing up but I guess I just didn't see it. Maybe I'm growing up too! Well now that would just be a shame! You get away with lots more when you are a puppy. Simon says to stick with him...he'll show me the ropes!

Nico is coming home today. I felt like a bath. I didn't get a one so I would smell nice and have my hair all combed for the Squirt! It was just time for a bath and Mom likes to give me one so really I am doing this for her.
When Nico left with Papa about a month ago...OK four days ago...Simon got all mopey again. I bet you think I am going to have a melt-down about my Papa leaving with the Squirt! Well I'm not! I understand that Nico and Papa need to do dog shows and I am very happy to stay home with Mom.
WOW! Am I maturing or what! Or maybe it is still fresh in my mind...all that grass, big rocks and fleas!! I like certain comforts...watching TV in my own bed, pea gravel that is easy on your feet and a nice chewy!
Mom told Simon he should play with me since Nico is away. Which by the way...The Squirt was the Reserve King again!
At first I thought...WHAT IS THAT WOMAN THINKING!! Mom should mind her own business....Playing with Simon really isn't going to be any fun for me. He likes to do a lot of running.
Personally, I am into watching sports not participating in them!
Little brown that Simon is...he tired for days to get me to play. He finally annoyed me so much I chased him down the porch. WOW! What a rush!! What do you know...it was fun! So maybe Mom did have a good idea..I 'let' him chase me a few more times...then I started doing the chasing.
I may have shorter legs but I have a warriors' heart! GET THAT SIMON!!
Sure gets your blood going and boy what an appetite it has given me! I have gotten good enough at it now that I can get close enough to Simon's back legs to nip at them. Herding must be in my blood! Now that the tables are turned around – I have been having a blast! Simon not so much! He has learned to tuck his tail in so I can't get it!
I hear that Nico is missing us a lot too. Just wait until he gets here and finds out two things: First, I am going to chase his little butt all over the place and second, there is a bath waiting for him!! LOL
Did I tell you we have a new friend. Well just how could I!? Mom has been so busy she has neglected her writing duties...good thing I don't pay her!
Her name, our new friend, is Honey! Her full name is Honey Locust really but we are just going to call her Honey! She is a beautiful, very light green tree! How do I know she is a girl tree? Because Mom says all her beautiful flowers, bushes and trees are girls! It is Mom's Rule number 57!
Honey gets planted this week...Mom couldn't decide which side of the driveway she should go on...so she thinks she needs another one. Her reasoning is that Honey should have another one of her own kind near her. Wait until Papa hears that he has to dig two holes

( 3 / 102 )Projects! I think - make that - I know that is Mom's middle name! Every time she says, “You know what I was thinking?” Papa cringes.
I learned early on from Mom just how we are suppose to do projects! She has it down to a science.
First: Mom has to come up with an idea. (Papa says she has wheels in her head that are always spinning!) That explains a lot about her!
Second: She runs the idea by Papa.
Third: Papa says it can't be done. Then he does it!
Fourth: Mom's job...Supervisor...we are the supervisors' assistants!
Now supervising is not an easy job! It's extremely hard to stay awake with the sun beating down on you. Occasionally, you actually have to get up to bring Papa a tool or a cold drink. On the last project Papa swallowed a bug then fell over the rocks. He's OK...the bug I'm not too sure of!
The gang and I practiced supervising and I think we have it down! For the first few hours you actually do get up every time Papa passes with the wheel barrel...after awhile you just stay put and follow him with your eyes. Some time after that...you can't even open your eyes to see if he is still working. I told you supervising is very hard work!
And just when the project is almost finished Mom says, “You know what I was thinking?”
Good thing Papa loves Mom because I saw her looking for a place to put two cherry trees and a shade tree. Well now...a shade tree...that would be nice. And some cherries....I like cherries...Poor Papa!
